What is a random character generator?
A random character generator makes up a character for you, so you do not have to start from nothing. Ours is written new each time, with a name, a look, a personality and a past that fit together.
It runs in the browser, nothing to install, and the chat is free. For a card kept in your account and a portrait, use the AI character generator.
Random characters by kind
Pick a kind, or ask for a mix. The examples are invented for this page.
A swordswoman, a demon hunter, a rival with a secret. Strong silhouettes, a clear goal and one thing they hide.
Example: Kaito Mori, a demon hunter whose cursed arm is getting stronger.
Elves, knights, warlords and wanderers, with a name that belongs to their world and a reason to be on the road.
Example: Thessaly Brightwood, an elf ranger who tracks storms through the old forest.
Bold, funny and easy to read: a big trait, a small flaw and a catchphrase waiting to happen.
Example: Volt Runner, a courier who outruns lightning and still delivers late.
